About Kyffin

Kyffin Simpson, 16 years old, was born in Bridgetown, Barbados before moving live on the Cayman Islands.

Beginning his racing journey at 7, Kyffin has since competed at all levels of karting in the United States and Europe, winning multiple championships along the way. Just two years into his career, Kyffin secured his first championship victory in the Barbados Karting Association, and returned to win the series the following season.

2019 was Kyffin’s best year yet. The Barbadian collected top honours in the Sunshine State Karting Challenge and US Pro Kart Series, and featured as a regular front-runner in the SKUSA Pro Tour. Kyffin was awarded a place at the prestigious IAME World Championship Finals for his efforts, where he once again fought for race victories.

In 2020, Kyffin took his first steps into single-seater racing in the F4 United States Championship, certified by FIA. Prior to the season’s opening round, Kyffin participated in the popular Yacademy Winter Series for rookies to score two podiums on his car racing debut. Following a strong showing in the opening nine rounds of the F4 United States Championship, Kyffin graduated to the FR Americas with HMD Motorsports.

Despite his inexperience in a highly-competitive field, Kyffin achieved two Top-10 finishes on his FR Americas race weekend debut. The Bajan would go on to score a further six Top-10’s at the remaining championship rounds, duly rewarding his and HMD race engineer Tim Neff’s efforts.

In 2021, Kyffin and Tim embark on a new journey together in their FR Americas Championship Powered by Honda return; TJ Speed. A new team on the FR Americas grid, TJ Speed combines a wealth of experience at the highest levels of US racing with the likes of Sam Schmidt Motorsports.

Doubling up on race programs, Kyffin will also join the Road To Indy ladder with reigning Indy Pro 2000 Presented by Cooper Tyres champions Juncos Racing in 2021. This joint FIA and Road To Indy schedule is a key step in Kyffin’s eventual goal to reach IndyCar, the pinnacle of US motorsport.
